Healthy Buildings & Happy Homes

Sustainable, Eco-Friendly Painting & Decorating

We want to leave your home with it looking good, and you feeling good. Our goal is to work sustainably and to use products that offer industry-leading quality, but that contain less ugly ingredients.

Where possible we choose paints with less VOCs*; they make paint smell bad and can cause harm to your health for long after the smell has gone. This can make a big difference to allergy sufferers, people with asthma, and can give you more peace of mind when painting and decorating kid-friendly spaces. We only use tried and tested products that actually work and deliver long-lasting and good-looking results.

Edward Bulmer Natural Paint

One of the biggest names when it comes to interior decorating and earth-kind paints. At Edward Bulmer they use a base paint manufacturer that’s CO2 neutral, they create less waste in their paint production, and they produce emulsion paints with a VOC rating of less than 0.2% (one of the lowest in the world). They can tell you the name of every ingredient in their paints, and their paints are microporous to allow moisture to escape and prevent mould.

Keim Mineral Paints

A long history in paint production puts KEIM Mineral Paints ahead of the game. They produce paints without solvents or any petro-chemical derivatives, and that are non-combustible and don’t give off nasty toxic gases. A microcrystalline structure allows free passage of moisture but is so small it prevents rain. The paint’s nature means the coating becomes part of the mineral substrate and so you can say goodbye to flaky paint.
